Tourist Place in Bihar

Bihar is the place that gave birth of Buddhism and Jainism and help in the growth of other religions of Indian culture and it is the first region of the world that was republic at Vaishali and the city of Pataliputra was the glorious region of the Bihar. It is located in the eastern side of India and it has highest young population of the India, capital of Bihar is Patna and it is situated on the bank of Ganges River. In Bihar many rivers drain these rivers are Ghaghra, Gandak, Kosi, Mahananda and many small tributaries are in Bihar. For tourist purpose Bihar is connected great religious purpose and these are Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and Hindiuism very famous in the world.

Gaya is very ancient city and second largest city of Bihar. Gaya is 100 kms south of Patna and this is located the bank of Phalgu River and this place is important for Jain, Hindu, Buddhist and Islam and this place is surrounded by a small rocky hills and its great epic of Ramayana and Mahabharata. So that place is very attractive for tourist purpose and for Hindu, Buddhism and Jainism.
Patna has great importance of Chandragupta Maurya period and its records is available in the book of Indika . In ancient time tourism was great Importance only for education but now its attract the international tourist and specially for religious purpose and religions are Buddhists, Japan, China. Gandhi Maidan is very famous historical ground of Patna o the bank of Ganag River.

Nalanda University was founded in the 5th century and was education hub in India Buddha gave education to his students life time and here 2000 teachers and 10000 students all over world and students lived here. The University provides education during 5th- 12th century.  Emperor Asoka and Harshavardhana were some of its most celebrated patrons who built temple, monasteries, viharas.
